For a while I was kind of obsessed with the book of revelation and the old testament in general. I was also obsessed with violence and creulty in the bible (that’s the main theme of the“ spit at me and wreak havoc on my flesh“ cd 2006). Although I don not believe in anything
??: Why tongues? You have some anger over the useless dumb human speech that fills the Earth all the 24 hours or something else? Do you think / angry globally?
M: I thought that it was a strong image; people gnawing away at their own tongue because of the pain they are in..but yeah, in general people should shut the fuck up!
??: Oh, but anyway present your project / band and any other underground (if you consider that there’s still underground) activities.
M: GTT is just a way of expressing myself in the best way I know, through music.
First and foremost it’s created for myself, if other people „enjoy“ it that’s cool too.
There is so much mediocre crap out there, I try to be different.
There is no limit on the sound, texts or the art. I get into a „zone“ and create the music with no boundaries what so ever; so sometimes it’s pure metal, sometimes it’s a low rumbling noise; just what I feel at that particular moment or what I want to express.
It keeps evolving, also the method in which I work.
GTT is about real shit; no fairytale bullshit; it’s about real „weltschmerz“;
Genocide, war, murder, torture, dictators; generaly the fucked up shit we do!

I’ve been playing in bands project for almost 17 years now so there is a lot of stuff I’ve done, but now is not the time for these things. I really don’t care about underground or not.
??:So you wanna stab the life out of everything with your music?
M: No the music that comes out of me seems to want to stab the life out of everything!
??: Gnaw their tongues - “Avantgarde/blackmetal/ritual/drone/funeraldoom” a combination that can easily hook on, cause it sounds really unique, and it is! Why have you decided to play in this form? Are you tired from standard blekk metal or smthg?
M: I’ve been making musick for some time now so it’s a progression on what I’ve done before. It came naturally. I started out as a metal head as kid; but now I listen to all kind of shit. And yes I’m tired of black metal. I was into that stuff in the early nineties when bands had their own sound; stuff like: ablaze era darkthrone, the first samael shit; necromantia (bass guitars rule!); master’s hammer…. Nowadays I’ll read some rave review about some band, then when I download it it all sound the same and have it has been done a thousand times before! Who want to listen to the same shit al the time?
But that’s the cycle metal goes through, something hypes and all the hundreds copycats kill it again, but I don’t care. If I like something, I’ll listen to it regardless of genre or coolness.
??: What are your musical (and not only) influences? I’m mainly interested in avangarde/drone kind of influences.
M: I don’t know, I kind of let everything go with GTT. I do not care anymore about the type of music, genre whatever. I try not be influenced by anything. But I listen to music the whole day through so that’s impossible. I’m mainly influenced by stuff I read in the papers and on the net; there so much sick shit going on in the world; some wife cooks here husband; some guy rapes a girls and runs over here with his caravan (here in the netherlands). Half the world is getting raped, murdered, tortured, burned. I have „inspiration“ for years. I‘m really interested in psychology.
??: So your concept is ‘torture’ yes? And I suppose the more ancient one, by looking to your cover pictures? Can you reason more about it?
M: The cover was just eerie, I photoshopped it a little. It fitted the music perfectly.
Torture is just a part of the concept; if I have a concept at all(?). I mean people are to only species on earth to „torture“. We are way sicker than animals in that matter. Animals kill for fun too, but that’s instinct driven. People are driven through reason and feeling. „Sane“ people have a choice. The line between sane/insane is so thin! Just look at the way „normal“ people behave in war! One day they are your neighbor, the next day they’ll cut you up with a machete (Rhuwanda). „People just ain’t good“ (Nick Cave).
Civilization is just a thin layer covering a cesspool of gruesome stuff.
??: What’s your personal way of torture that you dream about to express?
M: I dream about death.
??: Do you have any connections with occult/satanic stuff that is popular in blekk metal? Whats your opinion about it? Any personal interest in these?
M: I was into stuff like that, but I’m a little older now and have come to other beliefs. The belief in NOTHING. There is nothing, there will never will be anything. When I die I hope I’ll turn to dust and have some piece. I have extensive thoughts about occult/satanic stuff but there is no time, nor place here. I just observe dark shit and channel it through my music. Good and evil are both part of human beings.
??: Since I’m not into black metal scene, please write what are the polemics within this scene and what do you love/hate most about BM?
M: I’m not into any scene at all. I‘m way to old to worry about what going on in some scene. I rather spend my time creating/pomoting my music and scaring the shit out of people. I loved the feeling black metal gave me when I was a teenager; a feeling of some secret world/knowledge/power; now I know there is way more evil/sicker shit out there (musicwise) than black metal. I just don’t care. I occassionly come across stuff I like; leviathan; 666 international dodheimsgard; blut aus nord; the new celtic frost; but I rather listen to COIL
??: Is anything evil for you?
M: You are; you’re a human ☺
??: You are from Netherlands, yes? So, please write what do interest you there talking about musick…and maybe Nature..anything else…and what makes you sick.
M: The netherland…I was born somewhere else (south america) so I don‘t really feel 100% part of the netherlands. I guess it’s ok here. Not really interested in the music here. There are some ok bands, but I just cannot care. Compared to where I come from, the netherlands are small; everything is small; houses, landscapes and peoples minds.
??: Do you think it’s right to express your hatred, anger over music?
M: Yeah music is a great way to express your hate, anger whatever. If you want to bomb some shit that‘s fine with me too.
??: Have you had any mystical phenomena? Like facing any scary Forces of Nature or smthg like that? You know what I mean?
M: Yeah I had some mystical phenomena; but I was stoned as fuck, that’s why.

No; nothing mystical happened to me; except drugs related stuff!
??: What are you plans?
M: Coming up: c-30 tape / full length / two EP’s (one free) / two compilation appearances and more. I’m creating music all the time. Keep checking my myspace site for updates/info.
