The liner notes of this CDr by Molester boldy proclaim: "This song about child molestation not a Christmas song". Evidently he was concerned that 'Molester', set in 72-point bold on the front cover might not be enough to clue people in. The music certainly avoids the overt references to the holiday season found on the sleeve, consisting as it does of murky sampled voices discussing difficult-to-make-out unpleasantness, electronic rumbles and modulations that owe more to the UK school of power electronics than to his Japanese compatriots. This 25-minute piece goes through a few movements - low rumbles with the aforementioned sampled speech, loud, squelchy modulated bits that recall Grey Wolves to a degree, some metal-bashing in the middle, and some processed shouting towards the end. I think actually that this would have been better if the structure had been tightened up and the piece shorter, as it is it's sort of hard to maintain attention – it functions better as background ambience. There are ideas here, some even well developed, but it's marred by unfocused execution and lack of attention to detail. Nonetheless, there are captivating moments here and there, and definitely some potential shown.
