If this is what high sea pirates enjoy listening to, then count me in, although I don't exactly envision cut-throat thievery and plundering to commence with these soothing tracks - perhaps just a calm sail on the open sea. The first track, 'Krabbter' sounds like the long lost follow-up to Ambient 1: Music for Airports, an affectionate and pastoral work that continues in theory as this short lp continues. 'Geschwister Philister,' though staying true to the overall sound and structure prominent on the disc, shows that Seppuku Boogie is not all music to relax by, but don't misconstrue the remark - it's not as if I'm grateful and/or disappointed, but rather, I'm pleased with the ongoing experimentation performed on the overall thesis that grabbed me from the start - think of it more as a furthering chance for the music to sink its claws into me. The next couple of tracks return to the Enoesque canopy that was developed early on, but lets it grow with minute, computerized sounds slithering around in the background, trying to fill any void that might develop between each note. As the fifth track, 'Nursery Plugged' ambles delicately past, constant riffs of what sounds to be an alienated rock song desperately tries to show its head while the sixth and final track waves goodbye in style, almost saddened by its own departure.
